FAQ

Q: Where is the campout?
A: Paynetown State Recreational Area
It is located approx. 10 minutes south of Bloomington, IN on the Monroe Reservoir. For directions, go to the Lodging page and click on the directions link inside the Google map.

Q: Can I bring the family?
A: Yes… and you should! One of the main reasons this location was chosen was because of all activities at the campgrounds (i.e. swimming, fishing, biking, hiking, etc.) and nearby places of interest (i.e. other State Parks, Nashville – shopping, Bloomington – restaurants, golf courses, etc.). Click on the Lodging page for more information.

Q: What if I’m not much for camping?
A: While we do encourage camping for the full experience, not loving the outdoors shouldn’t stop you from attending BTP. On the Lodging page you’ll find links to nearby hotels that are approx. 10 minutes away from the campsite. Don’t fancy hotels or camping, show up Saturday morning and make the trip home that night. The weekend is as long and as fun as you want to make it!

Q: Can my group (quartet/chorus) sing on the show?
A: Yes! Email info@btpcampout.com to get more information and get you on the website.

Q: What do I have to do to participate in the tag contest?
A: Sign-up! Check out the Tag Contest page for rules, info, etc.

Q: What’s for breakfast?
A: As is Brown County tradition (former Cardinal District campout), the breakfast is sponsored by the Cardinal District Quartet Champions Association (QCA) and led by current district champs.

Q: What if I don’t see my question on this FAQ list?
A: Contact us at info@btpcampout.com or poll the crowd on the BTP Campout group site on Facebook.
